Pancreatic cancer symptoms are difficult to diagnose as there are few symptoms. The most prominent symptoms are pain on the right side of the stomach which worsens during digestion, and change in bowel habits. This often makes it difficult to diagnose the tumour. The tumour can affect different parts of the pancreas, the organ in which it starts, as well as the bile duct, the nervous system, and the gallbladder. Other symptoms of pancreatic cancer include blood in the urine, back pain, and fatigue.

Kidney failure is the most common complication of pancreatic cancer. Some people may have no symptoms of the disease. Kidney failure is likely to be one of the earliest symptoms of the cancer. When it is diagnosed too late, kidney failure can cause further damage to other organs, which can make them dangerous or untreatable. Other kidney problems that may appear include blood in the urine, depression, loss of appetite, and weight loss.
